Musings from a Cleveland sports fan

Quinn signs

Posted by disappointmentzone on 7 August 2007

Brady Quinn has (finally) signed a contract with the Browns, just in time for him not to have a chance to earn a starting job for about three months. From ESPN.com:

Brady Quinn has agreed to a five-year contact with the Cleveland Browns worth $20.2 million, with $7.75 million guaranteed, ending his holdout.

The deal could grow to $30 million over five years with incentives.

That’s an awful lot of money to throw at a 22nd pick. Let’s hope he’s not a bust. In the meantime, let’s hope Derek Anderson wins the starting job. No more Charlie Frye.
