The Disappointment Zone

Musings from a Cleveland sports fan

Is that a professional baseball team?

Tribe rookie Jeremy Sowers throws a complete game shutout. No runner reaches second base. Four hits. One walk. No errors. The Indians score 11 runs on 14 hits, 8 for extra bases. Sizemore hits three doubles. Inglett goes 3-4 with his first career big-league triple. Twice Micheals moves Grady over to third after a lead-off double, he hits one sacrifice fly, drives in three runs, goes 1-4 but has four quality at bats. Hafner hits a first-inning homer to put the Indians up 2-0. The Indians win and look like an actual major league team in the process. Who would have thought?
