will, if boston truly is the best team in the east, then why have the cavs beat them twice so far this season??? granted, one of those wins came when kevin garnett was out, but so was lebron out for the lone celtics win. might i remind you that the cavs beat the celtics when they were at full strength while the cavs still didn't have anderson varejao in the fold yet as he was still in the midst of his foolish contract holdout. i can't wait to see what happens when andy and kg square off on tuesday. talk about drama.

I have been waiting for Hughes to do something beneficial for the Cavaliers. Being used as trade bait to get Ben Wallace was the best thing he could do for the Cavaliers. Szerbiak can be a huge assett if he can continue to shoot with the same kind of accruacy. Donyell Marshall was supposed to do that, but he was way too inconsistent. As a side note, didnt Ben Wallace go to Cuyahoga Community College?

Sorry, but Boston is not only the best team in the East, but the best team in the league (see WoW). The big question is whether Wallace/Wally/West can regain the production they've had in the past with more consistent minutes in Cleveland (or in Wallace's case, just a better/happier situation). Only then will I give Cleveland '#2 in the East' status.

BUT - you're absolutely right, this drastically improves the Cavs even if the new guys simply maintain their current production. You really can't overstate how important it was to get rid of Hughes. Unbelievable.

what a glorious day indeed. there isn't one single player the cavs gave up who i'm bummed about them trading. had they traded someone like boobie gibson or given up a future draft pick, well then i would have been bummed. as it stands right now, the cavs did quite a bit of trimming the dead weight from their roster and added some very complimentary pieces to the puzzle. while they're still probably not a finished product, they are certainly better now than what they were the day before. it will be interesting to see how all the former cavs players will play with their new teams now that they won't have lebron around to make them look better. out of everybody that they traded, i honestly only look for one player to improve his performance for his new team, as compared to how he was for the cavs and that is shannon brown. everybody else will suffer a downturn in their play. mark my words. as for the new cavs, i can honestly see all 4 new players having an uptick in their production and i'm sure i don't have to explain why. nba title, here we come!!!
